Architecture and Design Scotland
Architecture+DesignScotland (A+DS) is Scotland’s national champion for good architecture, design and planning in the built environment. Established by the Scottish Government in April 2005 A+DS has a wide and proactive role in advocating the benefits of good design and placemaking. Our Enabling Programme supports and gives advice to a wide range of organisations who are delivering or procuring new facilities. Through our Design Review Programme we appraise the design quality of proposed developments. A+DS’s vision is of a well designed, sustainable built environment in Scotland of which the Nation can be proud.

Bridging NewcastleGateshead
Bridging NewcastleGateshead (BNG) is creating great places to live across NewcastleGateshead. Set up by the government to improve housing quality and choice in an area covering around 77,000 properties, BNG is a partnership between Newcastle and Gateshead councils and works alongside private and public sector organisations. The BNG area is being transformed through a programme that includes improving existing homes, building new homes and where necessary and after extensive consultation, removing a small amount of obsolete properties. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring long-lasting change to the local housing market.

The Housing Corporation
The Housing Corporation is the national Government agency that funds new affordable housing and regulates housing associations in England.
We have about 450 staff based at nine office throughout England (we do not work in Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales).
Our investment and regulation are carried out by our offices covering five areas of the country – Central, London, North, South East and South West – which we call "fields".
Details of how we invest and our priorities for granting funding can be found on our Investing pages. Our Regulating pages explain what standards we expect of housing associations and how we ensure they are met.
The Housing Corporation also has a dedicated Centre for Research and Market Intelligence (CRMI). CRMI produces quality research, analysis, innovation and good practice. It aims to make the Housing Corporation world renowned for being the centre of expertise for housing policy and information.

Newcastle City Council
Newcastle City Council consists of 78 councilors, three for each of the city's 26 wards which make up the metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne. Led by John Shipley OBE the council is currently controlled by the Liberal Democrats.
A key function of the newly created Environment and Regeneration Directorate is to manage and deliver the dynamic range of regeneration activity currently being undertaken Newcastle and central to creating “a vibrant, inclusive, safe, sustainable and modern European City”. At the same time, as the regional capital and a fast developing core city, it is vital that sustainable regeneration becomes core business for Newcastle.
