Bursaries
We want to make the summer school accessible to all people whose activities influence the built environment, but we recognise that some may have difficulty affording the fee. Our solution is to seek out organisations like yours to offer bursaries to those whose voice is so needed at the school and who can benefit so much from this valuable learning experience. Among the groups that may require bursaries are:
- Community activists, such as people active in residents groups, civic societies or ‘friends of…’groups
- People working for voluntary and community organisations
- Parish councillors
- People working for themselves or for micro-enterprises, for example artists
- Young people who have been engaged in built-environment activities.
We operate an open application procedure for bursaries, but there is also an opportunity for organisations with a particular focus to support targeted bursaries.
The package
This is a great opportunity to be associated with inclusivity and community engagement in the built environment. Targeted bursaries provide a further opportunity to reinforce your organisations association with a community or target group.
The package comprises:
- Specific press releases highlighting the bursary recipients and the sponsor’s role. These will be targeted at trade and regional media
- Inclusion in the supporter page on the website and delegates pack
- Invitation for two delegates from your organisation to attend one of the summer school evening events to be thanked for your support.
Guideline cost: full bursaries £995; half bursaries £495
