In 2009 Bristol will be our living classroom. It has everything we need to learn about good  placemaking. It has history, topography and diversity.  It has historic streets, regenerated waterfronts, revitalised public spaces and a brand new retail quarter. We will be observing good and bad in the city, visiting exemplary projects, analysing controversial developments and designing parts of the city for ourselves.
