Come to Birmingham and transform your skills!
The MADE international urban design summer school is the premier learning event for all those involved in place-making.
This intensive four-day event is an opportunity for architects, planners, landscape architects, transport planners, engineers, regeneration professionals and community leaders to extend their skills into the crucial field of urban design. For experienced urban designers it is an opportunity to refresh their skills and explore how they work with other professions. Urban design is a key area of skill for all those involved in the built environment, bringing together all the other professions and concentrating on the quality of place.
The core of the summer school is ‘hands-on’ learning; working in mixed groups on a real development site in Birmingham. To this we add walking seminars, site visits, skills workshops and key-note presentations from leading practitioners. It is like a whole year of professional development concentrated into four days.
